... is intended to be tennis's equivalent of the Ryder Cup. It was the brainchild of TEAM8 (Roger Federer's management company), Brazilian businessman and former Davis Cup player Jorge Paulo Lemann, and Tennis Australia. It's played in September (two weeks after the US Open), indoors on hard courts, and contested by six European players and six from the rest of the world.
Team Europe won the first two editions, by 15 points to 9 in 2017 and by 13 points to 8 in 2018.
